Freddy Mercury is my favorite singer. As in, I will walk down the aisle to Somebody to Love, my favorite song. Whatever music you listen to, he probably influenced it. That, and he was completely fucking fabulous. I strongly believe that some people’s fire are meant to burn out at their hottest. He would have been 68 today, but ill be thankful the world had him while we did.
My favorite Christmas song, by some my favorite people: Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and kids. This song is the single reason that I will always love Mariah Carey.
Merry, Merry, y’all!
(update: I have just noticed that this video is all over the internets. Sorry to be another person adding to that. However, it is so magical and good that I am not taking it down. So just watch it again and thank God that this exists.)
I am trying to learn to play the banjo. I tried to find a teacher in town, who was in biking distance, to no avail-so I am now teaching myself (with a bit of help). It is hard, y’all. I don’t think I am very musically inclined, but I am determined as hell. Every night I sit down and try to pick out something pretty, and I’m learning, slowly but surely. One day, maybe I will even be able to pick out an entire song. This one is my goal*; I just love it! Until then I will just keep practicing 30 minutes a night and hoping.
*I have lofty goals, so what?
Mystikal, Mannie Fresh and Galactic. Too good to be true.
"My back slow, I can’t party like I know. Get out the floor, my knees won’t let me get that low.”
Today is a G. Love and Special Sauce day. Especially this song.
